Be that person
Tuxedo is his name and he is my baby and my pride and joy. He is one of the sweetest dogs I've met, I mean just look at those eyes. So sweet.
I once heard the quote, "Be the person your dog thinks you are." This quote has left quite the impression on me. Our dogs see us as some of the most amazing people in the universe. They greet us everytime we walk through the front door with wagging tails and bright eyes without fail no matter what has happened. Yes it is wonderful and amazing how sweet and forgiving dogs can be, but not everyone is that forgiving. We need to remember that our actions have lasting effects on people, so be the kind of person your dog thinks you are. Be loving. Be kind. Be forgiving.

Something Different
Here are a couple of pictures from my very first studio portrait shoot featuring one my beautiful and talented friends, Sophie. She is a dear friend of mine whom I've built a much stronger relationship with over this past year. I adore her and am blessed for our friendship. As I feature her on this post, I'd like to share a little bit about her amazing talents and personality.
Sophie is an incredible singer and musician. Over the past few months I've had the opportunity to hear her play the guitar and the piano while sharing her phenomenal voice. She is straight up amazing.
She also has a beautiful personality to go along with her contagious smile and laugh. Sophie is caring and is always concerned for her friends and acquaintances around her, and wants to make sure that everyone is having a enjoyable time. I appreciate this outstanding girl in every way and am so grateful for her time in helping me complete this shoot.

It's spring time!
Spring is officially here and so are the beautiful colors of life that come with it! Spring is a time of rebirth and growth and these flowers most definitely illustrate the vibrance of that growth, life and happiness. Although they die eventually, we need to remember that they will grow again the next year if replanted. This truth applies to life as well; sometimes we may feel discouraged and down, but remember that there is always tomorrow to try again! Don't let one bad day get you going in the wrong direction. We have forgiveness and second chances and if we use those tools given to us to redirect ourselves, then we too can experience growth in our lives and true happiness.

It'll be okay
Sometimes in life we have to experience difficult trials, and that's okay. No one said that this life was going to be easy, but it is definitely worth every second of it. Next time you are feeling down remember to look at your situation with a "glass half full" attitude instead of a "half empty" one. Someone once told me that "There is no such thing as a bad day. Sure you may feel like trash sometimes, but you've just had a few bad moments, that's it. Remember that you have the power to change your day." It's the little things in life that make it enjoyable. Take every opprotunity you get to notice all the good in life, take the time to smile at someone you pass by in the store, take the time to be the change in the world.

He is the light
"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
John 8:12
remember
"I dream of you in colors that don't exist."
The thing I love most about pictures are the memories that come rushing back to my mind when they are placed in front of me. All through one picture, memories of hours spent with near and dear ones are brought back to recollection and that is one of favorite thing about photography. You are not only capturing a photo, but a moment in time. The saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words" is so true and I believe that that is something special about photography that nothing else can create. A picture can bring laughter, stories, tears, smiles, to those who just look
and remember.
